Hoedown Hill - what you need to know
- Hands down the most affordable and convenient beginner's hill for the majority of Coloradoans. Perfect for first time skiers and snowboarders!
- Located in the town of Windsor, CO, we are just an hour north of Denver and ~20min from the cities of Fort Collins and Loveland.
- While smaller than the mega resorts off of I-70, we offer open slopes and modern amenities, perfect for families looking for an authentic introduction to winter sports.
- Fun for the whole family. Parents seeking thrills can enjoy tubing while the kids learn to ski. Likewise, you can lounge in an sdirondack chair with hot cocoa while taking photos from the warmth of the Grain House.
- Snow Schoolers operates all ski and snowboard lessons, but we do not sell lift tickets or tubing tickets. To purchase lift tickets or to make a tubing reservation, visit the The Water Valley's main reservation website at www.hoedownhill.com.

How to Get Here
- By Car
- From Denver: Just 55 miles due north of Denver, simply find yourself to I-25 and head northbound for less than an hour and get off in Windsor. Take exit 259 for East Crossroads, and Hoedown is ~8min from the interstate next to RainDance National Resort & Golf.
- From Fort Collins: about 20min from downtown. Head south on I-25 and take exit 262 for CO-392 and go east toward Windsor. Roughly 6 min from the highway 392.
- From Loveland, CO: less than 20min from most parts of Loveland. With no interstates necessary, we guarantee less traffic than the tens of thousands of cars stuck on I-70 trying to get past Loveland Ski Area in Summit County.
- Best Airports
- Denver (DEN) - we are less than an hour from DIA, the most likely option for anyone who lives out of state, with direct flights from most major US airports (LAX, SFO, Chicago, Salt Lake, Seattle, Dallas, New York, etc.)
- Northern Colorado Regional Airport (FNL) - for anyone who flies regionally to or from Northern Colorado, we are just 12 minutes away from the no frills and convenience of Loveland's most convenient regional airport.
